The Samba system can bring value to clinical applications. For example it can effectively monitor a variety of critical physiological processes where high-sensitivity measurement of pressure is a key parameter.

Samba Sensors' systems are being used, for example, to monitor tracheal pressure in intubated neonates, and to measure bladder pressure in paraplegic patients.

Research is also underway in several areas for example to investigate the use of Samba Sensors’ system in relation to functional MR imaging of the brain and within oncology. In cancer research pressure can be monitored directly in the tumor tissue, and according to one hypothesis pressure measurements can be used to differentiate between benign and malignant cysts.
