Respiratory monitoring systems used in pediatric intensive care can be effectively enhanced by using a Samba Sensors' system to directly measure important parameters such as tracheal pressure.

Insertion of the transducer into the endotracheal tube of intubated patients is easy to perform and recordings are stable without jeopardizing the safety of the patient, since it does not interfere with the pressure-flow relationship or patient care. By introducing the Samba transducer, precise, accurate and specific information can be retrieved and unambiguous data obtained.
