The regulatory approval allows for insertion through the trachea. Due to the small transducer size it's particularly valuable for measurement of the airway pressure on neonates.
The product is CE marked as a Class IIb product (permission to use on human patients within EU only).
The Samba Resp 420 is currently available in a version compatible with the Samba 3200 Control Unit.
The Samba Resp 420 catheter is not FDA approved.
